Antonio Zamora

Engineer, project person, host.

I have lived in Switzerland since 2000, and for more than 25 years I have worked where projects, processes and people meet. My favourite moment: when a tangle of thoughts turns back into a clear line.

Why “Cafesito”?

In Chile, where I grew up, “un cafecito” is more than a coffee. It is an invitation: sit down, tell me, let’s take our time. I brought this attitude with me when I came to Switzerland in 2000. Cafesito is my name for it.

Why I do this

I know what it is like to start over: in a new country, in a new language, later with my own company. And I don’t believe that twenty or thirty years of experience lose their value overnight. They just need to be translated anew, for a market that has changed. That is where I help.

My path

  1. 2000

    Engineer from Chile, new in Switzerland

    Degree in electronics engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. The same year, the move to Switzerland: new country, new language, new beginning.

  2. 2005 · 2011

    From technician to project person

    Executive MBA at Swiss Business School, later a CAS in Business Process Engineering at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

  3. 2011 – 2021

    Big projects in big organisations

    Project manager at Swisscom, later IT Business Project Manager at Novartis. Portfolios, processes, KPIs and above all: people who get something off the ground together.

  4. 2013 – 2022

    My own company

    With Wimz I ran workshops on visual thinking and communication, in Switzerland and across Europe. Alongside that, training in adult education.

  5. since 2022

    Coach and lecturer

    I support founders and project leaders, and I prepare aspiring project managers for IPMA certification and for Scrum.

  6. 2026

    Cafesito

    Everything together at one table: experience, method and time for an honest conversation.

Outside work

Watercolour

I paint watercolours, inspired by Alvaro Castagnet. For me, art carries a message; decoration only adorns.

Squash

Squash is my best way to clear my head: 45 minutes where only the next ball counts. Anyone who wants to play is very welcome. I promise an honest game and plenty of sweat. Write to me.

Kitchen Angel

At Kitchen Angel in Gundeli I look after business development and operations. This is where Cafesito takes place.

I speak Spanish, German and English. And I take topics very seriously, myself a little less so.
